Sources close to The Grand National Championships have told me that the Portland Trail Blazers are huge fans of the University of Texas Point Guard D.J. Augustin and are in the process of working out a deal where they would trade up to the New Jersey Nets who are selecting 10th. In return, the Nets would get both Blazer first round picks at 13 and 27. This deal would allow the Nets their choice of the second tier of big men, which would prove likely to be high energy Stanford 7-footer Robin Lopez if they don't try to parlay the three first rounders into a high lottery pick.
Stay tuned for further NBA draftery.
